Horse Orchestra is a new band on the Nordic modern jazz scene consisting of seven young musicians from Iceland, Sweden, Norway and Denmark, who all are widely recognised on the Copenhagen jazz scene. The band combines parts of the history of jazz with modern barrier-breaking musical experiments – and the result is an original, post-modernistic style that has no equivalent on the Nordic jazz scene. The band is a testimony to a new generation of musicians who master their musical historical legacy and try to help modern jazz music reach new heights. For Horse Orchestra humour is just as important an element as the instrumental brilliance and the compelling compositions.

The orchestra’s debut album "Living the Dream" was released in September 2014 and won two Danish Music Awards Jazz in 2015. Second album "Four Letter Words" was released in October 2016 on Barefoot Records. The band has played three times during Copenhagen Jazz Festival 2018 and 2019.

In December 2018 Horse Orchestra released a video EP consisting of 3 singles.
